Chain Lane Park – Community Clean Up Success

Chain Lane Park – Community Clean Up Success

Many bags of rubbish were filled at Chain Lane Park in Blackbrook as UC Crew, Remix Volunteering and St Helens 6th Scouts supported the ‘Great British Spring Clean’. The clean up event took place on the 24th March and involved cleaning up the park and removing twenty five bags of litter among other larger items.

Our event received support from St Helens Council and Chain Lane Community Centre, as well as funding from the Hill Dickinson Solicitors as part of the #Iwill Campaign from the Community Foundation for Merseyside, to encourage more young people to take part in youth social action projects.

It was positive community activity that included residents, dog walkers and youth groups. Who were all happy to take get involved and remove every piece of litter picked to create a cleaner and safer environment for children, dogs and wildlife.
